नैवोग्रं नैव चानुग्रं धर्मेणेह प्रशस्यते । उभयं न व्यतिक्रामेदुग्रो भूत्वा मृदुर्भव
Translation
युधिष्ठिरा! राजधर्मात केवळ उग्रतेचीही नाही, केवळ मृदुतेचीही नाही—दोन्हींचीच प्रशंसा आहे. या दोन्हींपैकी कोणाचाही अतिक्रम करू नकोस; म्हणून प्रथम उग्र होऊन मग मृदु हो।
