कपोत-लुब्धकसंवादः — Hunter’s Remorse and Renunciatory Resolve

न धर्मवचन वाचा नैव बुद्धयेति नः श्रुतम्‌ । इति बार्हस्पतं ज्ञानं प्रोवाच मघवा स्वयम्‌

Transliteration

na dharmavacana-vācā naiva buddhayeti naḥ śrutam | iti bārhaspataṃ jñānaṃ provāca maghavā svayam ||

Translation

भीष्म म्हणाले—आम्ही ऐकले आहे की केवळ वाणीनेही नाही आणि केवळ बुद्धी-तर्कानेही नाही, धर्माचा निश्चय होतो. शास्त्रवचन आणि युक्ति यांचा समुच्चय करूनच धर्मनिर्णय होतो—हे बृहस्पतीचे मत; आणि हेच मघवा (इंद्र) यांनी स्वतः सांगितले आहे.
