त्रिवर्गमूलनिश्चयः — Determining the Roots of Dharma, Artha, and Kāma
Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 123
भूय: स भगवान् ध्यात्वा चिरं शूलवरायुध: । तस्य तस्य निकायस्य चकारैकैकमीश्वरम्,भगवान् शूलपाणिने पुन: चिरकालतक चिन्तन करके भिन्न-भिन्न समूहका एक-एक राजा बनाया
bhūyaḥ sa bhagavān dhyātvā ciraṃ śūlavarāyudhaḥ | tasya tasya nikāyasya cakāraikaikam īśvaram ||
पुन्हा तो शूलश्रेष्ठ आयुधधारी भगवान् दीर्घकाळ ध्यानस्थ झाला; आणि सम्यक् विचार करून प्रत्येक-प्रत्येक निकायासाठी एक-एक अधीश्वर (राजा) नेमला।
