Nakula’s Counsel on Yajña, Dāna, and Tyāga (नकुलोपदेशः—यज्ञदानत्यागविचारः)
एवं मन:समाधान मार्गमातिष्ठतो नृप । द्विजातेब्रह्म भूतस्य स्पृहयन्ति दिवौकस:,नरेश्वर! चित्तको एकाग्र करना-रूप जो साधन है उसका आश्रय लेकर ब्रह्मभूत हुए द्विजके दर्शनकी अभिलाषा देवता भी रखते हैं
evaṁ manaḥ-samādhāna-mārgam ātiṣṭhato nṛpa | dvijātibrahma-bhūtasya spṛhayanti divaukasaḥ ||
नरेश्वर! जो द्विज चित्त-समाधानाच्या मार्गाचा दृढ आश्रय घेऊन ब्रह्मभूत होतो, त्याच्या दर्शनाची अभिलाषा देवताही करतात.
नकुल उवाच
The verse teaches that steadfast mental composure and concentration (manaḥ-samādhāna) can lead a twice-born person to the state of brahma-bhūta (spiritual realization), and that such inner attainment commands reverence so great that even the gods long to behold it—highlighting self-mastery as the highest excellence.
Nakula addresses a king and praises the spiritual stature of a dvija who follows the path of mind-settling concentration; he emphasizes the extraordinary honor accorded to such a realized person by stating that even heavenly beings desire that person’s darśana (sight).
