राजा म्हणाला: हे भगवन्, कृपया नीतिधर्म सांगावा; प्रभो, मी आपला उपदेश ग्रहण करण्यास सिद्ध आहे।
भीष्म उवाच

In the Śānti Parva’s instructional setting, the king addresses a revered teacher and asks him to explain nīti—principles of righteous policy and conduct—declaring his readiness to listen and follow the counsel.
