स एवमभिनिनश्ित्य तस्मिन् कूपे महातपा: । ददर्श वीरुध॑ तत्र लम्बमानां यदृच्छया,इस प्रकार विचार करते-करते महातपस्वी त्रितने उस कुएँमें एक लता देखी, जो दैवयोगसे वहाँ फैली हुई थी
sa evam abhininiścitya tasmin kūpe mahātapāḥ | dadarśa vīrudhaṁ tatra lambamānāṁ yadṛcchayā ||
असा मनाशी निश्चय करून महातपस्वी त्रित त्या विहिरीत असताना योगायोगाने तेथे खाली लोंबकळणारी एक वेल पाहू लागला. संकटातही दैव कधी सूक्ष्म आधार देऊन जाते—तो शरणागतीसाठी नव्हे, तर प्रयत्न व धैर्य टिकवण्यासाठी असतो.
