त्रित आत्मानमालक्ष्य कूपे वीरुतृतृणावृते । निमग्नं भरतश्रेष्ठ नरके दुष्कृती यथा

Transliteration

trita ātmānam ālakṣya kūpe vīru-tṛṇa-āvṛte | nimagnaṃ bharataśreṣṭha narake duṣkṛtī yathā ||

Translation

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—भरतश्रेष्ठा, गवत, वेलीं व झुडपांनी व्यापलेल्या त्या कूपात आपण पडलेलो पाहून त्रिताला असे वाटले की जणू एखादा पापी नरकात बुडाला आहे.
