मग राजा युधिष्ठिराने हलायुध (बलराम) यांना आलिंगन देऊन आदर व समेटभाव व्यक्त केला—युद्धाच्या नैतिक ताणातही ज्येष्ठाच्या मर्यादेला मान देत, ज्यांची उपस्थिती धर्माला स्थैर्य देऊ शकते।
