गदायुद्धप्रतिज्ञा — The Vow and Terms of the Mace Duel
त्वया दत्तां न चेच्छेयं पृथिवीमखिलामहम् । त्वां तु युद्धे विनिर्जित्य भोक्तास्मि वसुधामिमाम्,तुम्हारे देनेपर इस सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वीको भी मैं नहीं लेना चाहता। तुम्हें युद्धमें परास्त करके ही इस वसुधाका उपभोग करूँगा
tvayā dattāṃ na ceccheyaṃ pṛthivīm akhilām aham | tvāṃ tu yuddhe vinirjitya bhoktāsmi vasudhām imām ||
युधिष्ठिर म्हणाला—तुझ्या देणगीवर ही अखिल पृथ्वीही मला नको. युद्धात तुला पराजित करूनच मी या वसुधेचा उपभोग घेईन.
