Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Saṃjaya Dialogue: Duryodhana’s Entry into the Lake
tato bhūyo mahārāja sahadevaḥ pratāpavān | śakuneḥ preṣayāmāsa śaravṛṣṭiṁ durāsadām ||

The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in its battlefield form: steadfastness, courage, and sustained effort against an adversary. Ethically, it reflects the epic’s insistence that once war is joined, a warrior must act with resolve and competence, without wavering.
Sanjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Sahadeva, displaying prowess, again unleashes a difficult-to-withstand rain of arrows at Shakuni, renewing the intensity of their combat.
