Śalya–Yudhiṣṭhira Duel and the Discharge of the Śakti (शल्यवधप्रसङ्गः)
तेडभ्यधावन्त संरब्धा मद्रराजं तरस्विनम्
teḍabhyadhāvanta saṃrabdhā madrarājaṃ tarasvinam
ते क्रोधाने संतप्त होऊन पराक्रमी मद्रराजावर सरळ धावून गेले।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how saṃrambha (agitated wrath) propels action in war, suggesting an ethical caution: when anger becomes the motive force, discernment and restraint—key supports of dharma—are easily overridden.
Sañjaya reports that a group of warriors, inflamed with anger, charge toward the Madrarāja—Śalya—described as tarasvin, a vigorous and formidable fighter.
