Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
विचरिष्यसि पापात्मन् सर्वव्याधिसमन्वित: । ओ नीच! तू जनसमुदायमें नहीं ठहर सकेगा। तेरे शरीरसे पीव और लोहूकी दुर्गन््ध निकलती रहेगी; अतः तुझे दुर्गम स्थानोंका ही आश्रय लेना पड़ेगा। पापात्मन्! तू सभी रोगोंसे पीड़ित होकर इधर-उधर भटकेगा
vicarīṣyasi pāpātman sarvavyādhisamanvitaḥ |
अरे पापात्म्या! तू सर्व रोगांनी ग्रस्त होऊन इकडे-तिकडे भटकशील। लोकसमुदायात तू राहू शकणार नाहीस; तुझ्या देहातून पू व रक्ताची दुर्गंधी सतत येत राहील, म्हणून तुला दुर्गम ठिकाणांचाच आश्रय घ्यावा लागेल।
