अप-#-रू+ चतु:पञ्चाशत्तमो< ध्याय: धृतराष्ट्रका दुर्योधनको समझाना घतरयाट्र उवाच त्वं वै ज्येष्ठो ज्यैप्लिनेय: पुत्र मा पाण्डवान् द्विष: । देष्टा हासुखमादत्ते यथैव निधनं तथा
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | tvaṃ vai jyeṣṭho jyeṣṭhineyaḥ putra mā pāṇḍavān dviṣaḥ | dveṣṭā hi asukham ādatte yathaiva nidhanaṃ tathā ||
धृतराष्ट्र म्हणाला— पुत्रा, तू खरोखर ज्येष्ठ आहेस, भावांमध्ये अग्रगण्य आहेस. पांडवांचा द्वेष करू नकोस; कारण द्वेष करणारा स्वतःच्याच वाट्याला दुःख ओढवून घेतो—जसा तो स्वतःचा विनाशच ओढवून घेतो तसा।
