जले निपतितं दृष्टवा भीमसेनो महाबल: । जहास जहसुश्चैव किंकराश्न सुयोधनम्
jale nipatitaṁ dṛṣṭvā bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ | jahāsa jahasuś caiva kiṅkarāśna suyodhanam ||
सुयोधन पाण्यात पडलेला पाहून महाबली भीमसेन खदखदून हसला आणि त्याला ‘किंकराचे अन्न’ म्हणत उपहास करू लागला.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical danger of ridicule: mocking a defeated or embarrassed person inflames resentment and escalates conflict. Even when one’s opponent is at fault, harsh speech and public humiliation can become a seed of future violence.
