अप्-#-रा+ द्विचत्वारिशोड ध्याय: शिशुपालकी बातोंपर भीमसेनका क्रोध और भीष्मजीका उन्हें शान्त करना शिशुपाल उवाच स मे बहुमतो राजा जरासंधो महाबल: । योडनेन युद्ध नेयेष दासो5यमिति संयुगे,शिशुपाल बोला--महाबली राजा जरासंध मेरे लिये बड़े ही सम्माननीय थे। वे कृष्णको दास समझकर इसके साथ युद्धमें लड़ना ही नहीं चाहते थे
Śiśupāla uvāca: sa me bahumato rājā Jarāsandho mahābalaḥ | yo ’nena yuddhaṃ na iyeṣa dāso ’yam iti saṃyuge ||
शिशुपाल म्हणाला—माझ्यासाठी महाबली राजा जरासंध अत्यंत माननीय होता। रणांगणात ‘हा तर दास आहे’ असे समजून तो याच्याशी युद्ध करावयास इच्छित नव्हता।
