हत्वा तान्‌ पुरुषव्याप्र: पज्चालानां महारथ:

hatvā tān puruṣavyāpraḥ pāñcālānāṃ mahārathaḥ

संजय म्हणाला— त्यांना ठार मारून पाञ्चालांचा तो महारथी, पुरुष-व्याघ्र, रणात अखंड कर्मरत राहिला; येथे पराक्रमाबरोबरच प्राणहानीच्या गंभीर नैतिक भाराचाही निर्देश आहे।
