प्रत्ययुध्यन्त समरे भीमसेनं सपार्षतम् । पार्थपार्षतयो श्वान्ये जगृहुस्तत्र नामनी,वे भी समरांगणमें भीमसेन और धृष्टद्युम्मनका डटकर सामना करने लगे। उनमेंसे कितने ही योद्धा भीमसेन और धृष्टद्युम्नके नाम ले-लेकर उन्हें युद्धके लिये ललकारने लगे
pratyayudhyanta samare bhīmasenaṃ sapārṣadam | pārthapārṣatayor anye jagṛhus tatra nāmanī ||
त्या समरात ते भीमसेनास त्याच्या सहयोद्ध्यांसह ठामपणे प्रत्युत्तर देत लढू लागले. आणि इतर योद्धे तेथे भीम व पार्थपक्षातील अग्रणी धृष्टद्युम्न यांची नावे घेऊन मोठ्याने युद्धासाठी आव्हान देऊ लागले.
