एवमुक्तस्तु देवेन क्रोधमागात्तदार्जुन: । मन्युमभ्याविशद् घोरें स्मृत्वा तत्तु धनंजय:,भगवानके ऐसा कहनेपर अर्जुन उस समय कर्णके प्रति अत्यन्त कुपित हो उठे। उसकी पिछली करतूतोंको याद करके उनके मनमें भयानक रोष जाग उठा
evam uktas tu devena krodham āgāt tadā'rjunaḥ | manyum abhyāviśad ghoraṁ smṛtvā tat tu dhanañjayaḥ ||
