दम्भोद्धवाश्वासुराश्चाहवेषु तया धृत्या जहि कर्ण त्वमद्य | “कर्णको आगे करके सब लोग यही समझ रहे हैं कि तुम्हारा अस्त्र उसके अस्त्रोंद्वारा नष्ट होता जा रहा है। तुमने जिस धैर्यसे प्रत्येक युगमें घोर राक्षस्ोंका, उनके मायामय तामस अस्त्रका तथा दम्भोद्धव नामवाले असुरोंका युद्धस्थलोंमें विनाश किया है, उसी धैर्यसे आज तुम कर्णको भी मार डालो
