नरनारायणावेतौ पुराणावृषिसत्तमौ । अनियम्यौ नियन्तारावेतौ तस्मात् परंतपौ
nara-nārāyaṇāv etau purāṇāv ṛṣi-sattamau | aniyamyau niyantārāv etau tasmāt paraṃtapau ||
संजय म्हणाला—हेच प्राचीन ऋषिश्रेष्ठ नर आणि नारायण आहेत. यांच्यावर कुणाचेही शासन चालत नाही; उलट हेच सर्वांचे नियंते आहेत. म्हणून हे शत्रूंना संतप्त करण्यास समर्थ आहेत.
