रथा द्विपा वाजिपदातयस्तथा भवन्ति नानाविधशस्त्रवेष्टिता: । परस्परेणाभिहताश्न चस्खलु- विनिदुरार्ता व्यसवो5पतंस्तथा,बहुत-से रथी, सवारोंसहित हाथी, घोड़े तथा पैदल सैनिक नाना प्रकारके अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंसे आच्छादित हो एक-दूसरेसे टकराकर लड़खड़ाने लगते, आर्तनाद करते और प्राणशून्य होकर गिर पड़ते थे

अनेक रथी, स्वारांसह हत्ती, घोडे आणि पायदळ—नाना प्रकारच्या अस्त्र-शस्त्रांनी आच्छादित—एकमेकांवर आदळून आघातांनी डगमगू लागले; वेदनेने आर्तनाद करीत अखेर प्राणशून्य होऊन कोसळले।
