सुवर्णवर्णसंनाहैयोंचै: कनकभूषणै: । आस्थिता: क्लूृप्तवर्माणो भद्रा नित्यमदा द्विपा:
suvarṇavarṇasaṃnāhair yocaiḥ kanakabhūṣaṇaiḥ | āsthitāḥ klṛptavarmāṇo bhadrā nityamadā dvipāḥ ||
संजय म्हणाला—सुवर्णवर्ण संनाहांनी आणि कनकभूषणांनी अलंकृत, नीटस कवचसज्जा केलेले ते भद्र हत्ती—सदा मदोन्मत्त—युद्धासाठी सज्ज उभे होते.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how war is sustained not only by courage but by deliberate preparation, wealth, and display of power. Ethically, it invites reflection on the contrast between splendid equipment and the grim purpose it serves—magnificence harnessed to violence.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the war-elephants are arrayed and ready—equipped with golden-colored trappings, gold ornaments, and properly prepared armor—standing in formation as part of the battlefield deployment.
