एक एव रणे भीष्म एकवीरत्वमागत: । “किंतु समरांगणमें भीष्मजी अकेले ही पाण्डवों और सूंजयोंको खदेड़कर युद्धमें अद्वितीय वीरके रूपमें विख्यात हुए
eka eva raṇe bhīṣma ekavīratvam āgataḥ |
संजय म्हणाला—त्या रणात भीष्म एकटाच एकवीरत्वास प्राप्त झाला. त्याने पांडव व सृंजयांना रणांगणातून परत ढकलले आणि युद्धभूमीवर अद्वितीय वीर म्हणून प्रसिद्ध झाला.
