संनिवार्य च योधान् स सत्येन शपथेन च । प्रायोजयदमेयात्मा भार्गवास्त्र महाबल:
sannivārya ca yodhān sa satyena śapathena ca | prāyojayad ameyātmā bhārgavāstra-mahābalaḥ ||
संजय म्हणाला— योद्ध्यांना आवरून, तो—अमेय आत्मबलाचा आणि भार्गवास्त्रात महाबली—सत्य व शपथेच्या बंधनाने त्यांना कर्तव्यात प्रवृत्त करू लागला.
