द्रवमाणे बलौघे च निरानन्दे मुहुर्मुहु: । किमकुर्वन्त कुरवस्तन्ममाचक्ष्व संजय
dravamāṇe balaughe ca nirānande muhur muhuḥ | kim akurvanta kuravas tan mamācakṣva sañjaya ||
धृतराष्ट्र म्हणाला—संजय! माझा सैन्यसमुदाय वारंवार तुटून पळत होता, आनंद व धैर्य हरपले होते, आणि पांडव पुन्हा पुन्हा त्यांचा संहार करीत होते—तेव्हा कौरव काय करीत होते? मला सांग.
