A warrior committed to kṣatriya-dharma does not collapse when a weapon is broken; he regains readiness immediately, showing steadiness, presence of mind, and perseverance under pressure.
Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s bow has been cut. He throws it away and quickly arms himself again—taking a new bow and sixteen bhalla-arrows—so he can continue fighting without delay.
