कर्णेन सैन्यस्थापनं तथा नानायुद्धसमवायः

सीधो: पान॑ गुरुतल्पावमर्दों भ्रूणहत्या परवित्तापहार: | येषां धर्मस्तान्‌ प्रति नास्त्यधर्म आरडट्टजान्‌ पञ्चनदान्‌ धिगस्तु

sīdhoḥ pānaṁ gurutalpāvamardo bhrūṇahatyā paravittāpahāraḥ | yeṣāṁ dharmas tān prati nāsty adharma ārāḍṭṭajān pañcanadān dhig astu ||

कर्ण म्हणाला—मद्यपान, गुरुतल्पाचा अवमान, भ्रूणहत्या आणि परधनापहरण—ज्यांचा ‘धर्म’च असे कर्म आहेत, त्यांच्याविरुद्ध उभे राहण्यात अधर्माचा प्रश्नच नाही. त्या आरट्टजन्म पञ्चनददेशीयांना धिक्कार असो।
