Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
हत्वा जित्वा च गन्धर्वाश्षित्रसेनमुखान् रणे । कर्ण दुर्योधनं पार्थ: सभार्य सममोक्षयत्
hatvā jitvā ca gandharvān citrasenamukhān raṇe | karṇa duryodhanaṁ pārthaḥ sabhāryaḥ samamokṣayat |
रणांगणात चित्रसेन-प्रमुख गंधर्वांना ठार मारून व पराभूत करून पार्थ (अर्जुन) यांनी कर्ण व दुर्योधन यांना त्यांच्या पत्नीसह मुक्त केले. हा प्रसंग क्षत्रियधर्म दाखवतो—वैर असतानाही मान राखून दुर्बलांचे रक्षण करणे आणि वैयक्तिक स्पर्धेला धर्मावर वरचढ होऊ न देणे।
