यो5न्वयो मातृकस्तस्य स एनमभिपेदिवान् | संग्राममें पीठ न दिखानेवाला इरावान् जब क्रोधमें भरकर युद्ध कर रहा था, उसी समय उसके मातृकुलके नागोंका समुदाय उसकी सहायताके लिये वहाँ आ पहुँचा
yo 'nvayo mātṛkas tasya sa enam abhipedivān | saṅgrāme pīṭhaṁ na darśayanevāla irāvān yadā krodhena bharan yuddhaṁ karoti sma, tadā tasya mātṛkulasya nāgānāṁ samūhaḥ sahāyatārthaṁ tatra samupāgataḥ ||
संजय म्हणाला—त्याच्या मातृकुलाचा जो बंधुत्वसमूह होता, तोच त्याच्या मदतीला धावून आला. रणात कधीही पाठ न दाखवणारा इरावान जेव्हा क्रोधाने भरून युद्ध करीत होता, तेव्हाच त्याच्या मातृकुलातील नागांचा समुदाय सहाय्यासाठी तेथे येऊन पोहोचला.
