स तै: परिवृतः पार्थो भ्रातृभि: कृतनिश्चयैः । प्रजासंहरणे सूर्य: क्रूरैरिव महाग्रहै:,ऐसा निश्चय करके उन सब भाइयोंने कुन्ती-कुमार भीमसेनको घेर लिया, मानो प्रजाके संहारकालमें सूर्यदेवको बड़े-बड़े क्रूर ग्रहोंने घेर रखा हो

Transliteration

sa taiḥ parivṛtaḥ pārtho bhrātṛbhiḥ kṛtaniścayaiḥ | prajāsaṃharaṇe sūryaḥ krūrair iva mahāgrahaiḥ ||

Translation

संजय म्हणाला—असा निश्चय करून त्या भावांनी कुंतीपुत्र भीमसेनाला वेढले; जणू प्रलयकाळी क्रूर महाग्रहांनी सूर्यदेवाला सर्व बाजूंनी घेरले असावे.
