भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)

यदि नाहं परित्याज्यो युवा भ्यामिह संयुगे । विक्रमेणानुरूपेण युध्येतां पुरुषर्षभी

sañjaya uvāca |

yadi nāhaṃ parityājyo yuvābhyām iha saṃyuge |

vikrameṇānurūpeṇa yudhyetāṃ puruṣarṣabhī ||

संजय म्हणाला—जर या संग्रामात तुम्हा दोघांना मला सोडून देणे योग्य वाटत नसेल, तर द्रोणाचार्य आणि तुम्ही दोघे—पुरुषश्रेष्ठ—आपल्या योग्य पराक्रमाने युद्ध करा।
