महाव्यूह: कलिज्रानामेकेन मृदितस्त्वया । “आपने अकेले अपनी ही भुजाओंके बल और पराक्रमसे कलिंगोंके उस महान् व्यूहको रौंदकर मिट्टीमें मिला दिया
sañjaya uvāca | mahāvyūhaḥ kaliṅgānām ekena mṛditas tvayā |
“कलिंगांचा तो महाव्यूह तू एकट्यानेच चिरडून नष्ट केला आहेस. आपल्या बाहुबल व पराक्रमाच्या जोरावर तू तो घन मांडणीचा व्यूह—हत्ती, घोडे आणि रथांनी भरलेला—फोडून धुळीस मिळविलास. त्यातील बरेच सैनिक जगातील श्रेष्ठ पुरुषांमध्ये गणले जात, आणि असंख्य धीर-वीर योद्धे त्या महाव्यूहात आश्रय घेत होते.”
