अथैनं छिन्नथन्वानं शरै: संनतपर्वभि: । अभ्यवर्षदमेयात्मा वृष्ट्या मेघ इवाचलम्,तब अमेय आत्मबलसे सम्पन्न द्रोणाचार्यने जिसका धनुष कट गया था, उन धृष्टद्युम्नपर झुकी हुई गाँठवाले बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी, मानो मेघ किसी पर्वतपर जलकी बूँदें बरसा रहा हो
athainaṁ chinnathanvānaṁ śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ | abhyavarṣad ameyātmā vṛṣṭyā megha ivācalam ||
संजय म्हणाला—मग अमेय आत्मबल असलेल्या द्रोणाचार्यांनी, ज्याचे धनुष्य छिन्न झाले होते त्या धृष्टद्युम्नावर वाकड्या सांध्यांच्या बाणांचा असा वर्षाव केला—जणू मेघ अचल पर्वतावर पावसाचा मारा करीत आहे.
