प्रपतन्तमपश्याम गिरे: शुद्भमिव च्युतम् भीष्मके द्वारा मारे गये नरश्रेष्ठ श्वेतको युद्धस्थलमें हमने देखा। वह टूटकर गिरे हुए पर्वतके समान जान पड़ता था
prapatantam apaśyāma gireḥ śubhram iva cyutam | bhīṣmake dvārā māre gaye naraśreṣṭha śvetako yuddhasthale meṃ hamne dekhā | vaha ṭūṭakara gire hue parvatake samān jān paṛtā thā |
भीष्माने मारलेला नरश्रेष्ठ श्वेत आम्ही रणांगणात कोसळताना पाहिला. तो जणू पर्वताचा उज्ज्वल शिखर तुटून पडावा तसा भासत होता.
