अफलाकाडुक्षिभियज्ञो 3 विधिदृष्टो य इज्यते । यष्टव्यमेवेति मन: समाधाय स सात््विक:३
aphalākāṅkṣibhir yajño vidhidṛṣṭo ya ijyate | yaṣṭavyam eveti manaḥ samādhāya sa sāttvikaḥ ||
जो यज्ञ फळाची इच्छा न ठेवता, शास्त्रविधीनुसार, केवळ ‘हे करणेच कर्तव्य आहे’ असा मनाचा निश्चय करून केला जातो—तो सात्त्विक होय.
