देशानां च परीमाणं नगराणां च संजय । श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वेन यत एते समागता:,“संजय! ये लोग जहाँ-जहाँसे आये हैं, उन देशों और नगरोंका यथार्थ परिमाण मैं तुमसे सुनना चाहता हूँ
deśānāṃ ca parīmāṇaṃ nagarāṇāṃ ca saṃjaya | śrotum icchāmi tattvena yata ete samāgatāḥ ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— संजय, हे ज्या ज्या देशांहून व नगरांहून आले आहेत, त्या देश-नगरांचे खरे परिमाण मला यथार्थपणे ऐकायचे आहे.
