Devotion to the Personal vs. Contemplation of the Imperishable

सम्बन्ध-- पहले श्लोकमें भगवान्‌ने जिस विषयपर कहनेकी प्रतिज्ञा की है, उसका वर्णन आरम्भ करते हुए वे पहले पाँच शलोकोंमें योगशब्दवाच्य प्रभावका और अपनी विशभ्ूतिका संक्षिप्त वर्णन करते हैं-- न मे विदु: सुरगणा:ः प्रभवं न महर्षय:३ | अहमादिर्ि देवानां महर्षीणां च सर्वश:,मेरी उत्पत्तिको अर्थात्‌ लीलासे प्रकट होनेको न देवतालोग जानते हैं और न महर्षिजन ही जानते हैं, क्योंकि मैं सब प्रकारसे देवताओंका और महर्षियोंका भी आदिकारण हूँ?

na me viduḥ sura-gaṇāḥ prabhavaṁ na maharṣayaḥ | aham ādir hi devānāṁ maharṣīṇāṁ ca sarvaśaḥ ||

देवसमूह आणि महर्षीही माझ्या उत्पत्तीला—माझ्या प्राकट्याला—जाणत नाहीत; कारण सर्व प्रकारे मीच देवांचा आणि महर्षींचाही आदिकारण आहे.

Educational Q&A

The Supreme Lord declares that even gods and great sages do not fully comprehend His origin, because He is the ultimate source of them all. The teaching emphasizes the limits of created beings’ knowledge and grounds spiritual understanding in reverence, humility, and devotion to the highest cause.
