कृन्तन्ति मम गात्राणि माघमां सेगवा इव । 'ये बाण मेरे मर्मस्थानोंमें प्रवेश कर रहे हैं, अत: शिखण्डीके नहीं हैं। ये अर्जुनके बाण हैं। ये शिखण्डीके बाण नहीं हैं। जैसे केंकड़ीके बच्चे अपनी माताका उदर विदीर्ण करके बाहर निकलते हैं, उसी प्रकार ये बाण मेरे सम्पूर्ण अंगोंको छेदे डालते हैं ।।
sañjaya uvāca | kṛntanti mama gātrāṇi māghamāṃ segavā iva |
संजय म्हणाला—हे बाण माझी अंगे तशीच कापीत आहेत जसे तीक्ष्ण काटे देह फाडतात. हे मर्मस्थानी घुसत आहेत; म्हणून हे शिखंडीचे नाहीत—हे अर्जुनाचे बाण आहेत, शिखंडीचे नाहीत. जसे पिल्ले आईचे उदर विदीर्ण करून बाहेर येतात, तसे हे शर माझ्या सर्व अंगांना भेदून फाडीत आहेत.
