Yuga-Lakṣaṇa and Varṣa-Pramāṇa Inquiry (युगलक्षण–वर्षप्रमाण–प्रश्न)
वर्णा: स्वकर्मनिरता न च स्तेनोअत्र दृश्यते । दीर्घायुषो महाराज जरामृत्युविवर्जिता:,सभी वर्णके लोग वहाँ अपने-अपने वर्णाश्रमोचित कर्मका पालन करते हैं। वहाँ कोई चोर नहीं दिखायी देता। महाराज! उस द्वीपके निवासी दीर्घायु तथा जरा और मृत्युसे रहित होते हैं

varṇāḥ svakarmaniratā na ca steno ’tra dṛśyate |
dīrghāyuṣo mahārāja jarāmṛtyuvivarjitāḥ ||
संजय म्हणाला—त्या देशात सर्व वर्णांचे लोक आपापल्या नियत कर्मांत रत असतात; तेथे चोर कुणीही दिसत नाही. हे महाराज! त्या द्वीपातील निवासी दीर्घायुषी असून जरा व मृत्यूच्या क्लेशापासून मुक्त असतात.
