धृतराष्ट्र रवाच सुमहान् संशयो मेउद्य प्रोक्तोडयं संजय त्वया । प्रजा: कथं सूतपुत्र सम्प्राप्ता: श्यामतामिह
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca—sumahān saṁśayo me ’dya prokto ’yaṁ sañjaya tvayā | prajāḥ kathaṁ sūtaputra samprāptāḥ śyāmatām iha ||
धृतराष्ट्र म्हणाले—सूतपुत्र संजय! आज तू माझ्यासमोर अत्यंत मोठा संशय मांडलास. तेथे केवळ राहिल्यानेच प्रजा येथे श्यामता कशी प्राप्त झाली?
