Completion of the Aśvamedha
अपरिज्ञानमेतत् ते महान्तं धर्ममिच्छत: । न हि यज्ञे पशुगणा विधिदृष्टा: पुरंदर
vaiśampāyana uvāca | aparijñānam etat te mahāntaṃ dharmam icchataḥ | na hi yajñe paśugaṇā vidhidṛṣṭāḥ purandara |
“पुरंदर! महान धर्माची इच्छा असूनही तुम्ही पशुवधास उद्यत झाला आहात, हे तुमचे अज्ञान आहे; कारण यज्ञात पशुगणांच्या वधाचा विधी शास्त्रात दिसत नाही.”
