मरुत्त उवाच यावत् तपेत् सहसांशुस्तिष्ेर॑श्वापि पर्वता: । तावल्लोकान्न लभेयं त्यजेयं सड़तं यदि,मरुत्तने कहा--ब्रह्मन! यदि मैं आपका साथ छोड़ दूँ तो जबतक सूर्य तपते हों और जबतक पर्वत स्थिर रहें तबतक मुझे उत्तम लोकोंकी प्राप्ति न हो
marutta uvāca | yāvat tapet sahasrāṁśus tiṣṭheran api parvatāḥ | tāval lokān na labheyaṁ tyajeyaṁ saṅgataṁ yadi ||
मरुत्त म्हणाला—हे ब्राह्मण! मी जर तुमचा संग व मैत्री सोडली, तर जोपर्यंत सहस्रकिरण सूर्य तपत राहील आणि जोपर्यंत पर्वत स्थिर राहतील, तोपर्यंत मला उत्तम लोकांची प्राप्ती होऊ नये.
