Entry into the Birth-Chamber and Uttarā’s Appeal
स्वसेति वा महाबाहो हतपुत्रेति वा पुन: । प्रपन्ना मामियं चेति दयां कर्तुमिहाहसि
svāseti vā mahābāho hataputreti vā punaḥ | prapannā mām iyaṃ ceti dayāṃ kartum ihārhasi ||
महाबाहो! तू हिला माझी बहीण समज किंवा पुत्रहारा दुःखिणी समज; अथवा माझ्या शरण आलेली दयनीय अबला समज—कुठल्याही भावाने पाहिलेस तरी इथे तिच्यावर दया करणे तुला योग्य आहे.
