पौत्रस्तव महाभागो जनिष्यति महामना: । पृथ्वीं सागरपर्यन्तां पालयिष्यति धर्मत:

Transliteration

pautras tava mahābhāgo janiṣyati mahāmanāḥ | pṛthvīṃ sāgaraparyantāṃ pālayiṣyati dharmataḥ |

Translation

हे कुरुश्रेष्ठ! तुझा एक महाभाग्यवान, महामनस्वी पौत्र जन्माला येईल; तो धर्माने समुद्रपर्यंतची सारी पृथ्वी पाळील. म्हणून, हे शत्रुसूदन, शोक सोड; याविषयी विचार करण्याची गरज नाही—माझे वचन सत्य ठरेल।
