ऑपनआक्राता बछ। 2 अष्टपञज्चाशत्तमो< ध्याय: कुण्डल लेकर उत्तंकका लौटना

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | sa mitrasaham āsādya abhijñānam ayācata | tasmai dadāv abhijñānaṃ sa cekṣvākuvaras tadā |

Translation

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—उत्तंक राजा मित्रसह (सौदास) यांच्याकडे जाऊन ओळखीचा पुरावा मागू लागला. तेव्हा इक्ष्वाकुवंशातील त्या श्रेष्ठ नृपतीने राणीपर्यंत सांगण्यासाठी असा विश्वासार्ह ओळख-चिन्ह दिला की ज्यामुळे उत्तंकाचा संदेश खरा मानून स्वीकारला जाईल.
