गौतमस्य तु शिष्याणां बहूनां जनमेजय । उत्तड़के< भ्यधिका प्रीति: स्नेहश्वैवाभवत् तदा
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
gautamasya tu śiṣyāṇāṃ bahūnāṃ janamejaya |
uttaraṅke bhyadhikā prītiḥ snehaś caivābhavat tadā ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—हे जनमेजया! गौतमाच्या अनेक शिष्यांमध्ये त्या वेळी उत्तंकाविषयीच विशेष अधिक प्रीती व स्नेह उत्पन्न झाला; शिष्यांमध्ये तोच सर्वाधिक प्रिय होता.
