कं भवत्यै प्रयच्छामि गुर्वर्थ विनियुड्धक्ष्य माम्‌ । प्रियं हितं च काड्क्षामि प्राणैरपि धनैरपि

kaṃ bhavatyai prayacchāmi gurvarthaṃ viniyuddhakṣya mām | priyaṃ hitaṃ ca kāṅkṣāmi prāṇair api dhanair api ||

गौतम म्हणाला—“माताजी! गुरुदक्षिणेसाठी मी तुम्हाला काय अर्पण करू? मला आज्ञा द्या. प्राण देऊनही आणि सर्व धन देऊनही तुमचे प्रिय व हित साधावे अशी माझी इच्छा आहे.”
