या मे सम्भावना तात त्वयि नित्यमवर्तत । अपि सा सफला तात कृता ते भरतान् प्रति
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
yā me sambhāvanā tāta tvayi nityam avartata |
api sā saphalā tāta kṛtā te bharatān prati ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—तात! तुझ्याविषयी माझ्या मनात नेहमीच ही आशा होती की तुझ्या प्रयत्नाने कौरव आणि पांडव यांच्यात मेल होईल. तात! भरतवंशीयांच्या बाबतीत ती माझी आशा तू सफल केलीस काय?
