अथ नेच्छसि राजानं कुन्तीपुत्रं युधिष्ठिरम् । मेढीभूत: स्वयं राज्यं प्रतिगृह्नीष्व पार्थिव
atha necchasi rājānaṃ kuntīputraṃ yudhiṣṭhiram | meḍhībhūtaḥ svayaṃ rājyaṃ pratigṛhṇīṣva pārthiva ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—नरेश्वर! जर तुम्हाला कुंतीपुत्र युधिष्ठिराला राजा करायचे नसेल, तर तुम्हीच मेढी होऊन राज्य स्वीकारा आणि त्याचा सर्व भार स्वतः वाहा।
