परस्परस्य सुह्दद: परस्परहिते रता: । 'सज्जनो! आप और कौरव चिरकालसे एक साथ रहते आये हैं। आप दोनों एक- दूसरेके सुहृद् हैं और दोनों सदा एक-दूसरेके हितमें तत्पर रहते हैं
parasparasya suhṛdaḥ parasparahite ratāḥ |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— ते परस्परांचे सुहृद असून एकमेकांच्या हितात रत असतात. ‘सज्जनो! तुम्ही आणि कौरव चिरकाल एकत्र राहात आला आहात; तुम्ही दोघेही एकमेकांचे मित्र आहात आणि सदैव एकमेकांच्या कल्याणासाठी तत्पर असता।’
